A note about using 1/4" wires: We added 1/4" wires because our customers were eager to make tiny books with the Bind-it-All. After using the 1/4" wires ourselves, we discovered that the margin between the left or top edge of the paper and the beginning of the holes punched by the Bind-it-All is just slightly too deep for pages bound with 1/4" wire to turn as smoothly as they do with other wire diameters. Our solution is to trim off just a small amount of this margin using a paper trimmer. Since books made for 1/4" bindings are by necessity very small anyway, it's not hard to trim each page to give the pages more room to move in these tiny wires. Since the wire is inserted at the same point, even if your margins are not trimmed uniformly, the outer edges will still be perfectly aligned.
